P&O Cruises Drinks Packages: The Complete Guide & Calculator
Unlike some cruise lines such as Marella, which market their sailings as all-inclusive, P&O Cruises still sells its holidays as full-board. Your cabin, meals, entertainment, and plenty of extras are included – but drinks come at an additional cost.
Table Of Content
That said, since 2019 P&O has offered drinks packages that can transform your cruise into something close to an all-inclusive experience. In 2023, these were simplified and relaunched, giving passengers an easier way to choose the right option.
Here’s everything you need to know.
How much do P&O drinks packages cost?
-
Alcohol-Free Package – £14.45 per person, per day
-
Classic Package – £48.85 per person, per day
-
Deluxe Package – £60.50 per person, per day
👉 You’ll also get 10% off if you pre-purchase before your cruise.
Alcohol-Free Package (£14.45 per day)
This is the cheapest option, covering only soft drinks. It’s a good fit for kids, teetotallers, or anyone who doesn’t plan to drink alcohol onboard.
What’s included:
-
Bottled water
-
Premium soft drinks and sodas
-
Selected fruit juices
What’s not included:
-
Alcoholic drinks (beer, wine, spirits, cocktails)
-
Specialty coffees and teas
If you fancy an occasional alcoholic drink, you’ll need to pay for those individually or upgrade to one of the higher packages.
Classic Package (£48.85 per day)
This is P&O’s most popular option, aimed at those who enjoy a drink but don’t need the very top-shelf spirits or the extended wine list.
What’s included:
-
Selected cocktails
-
A range of 25ml spirits
-
Beers and ciders
-
Selected 175ml wines
-
Dessert & fortified wines
-
Prosecco
-
Selected small Costa coffees and teapigs teas
-
Mocktails
-
Non-alcoholic beers and wines
-
Bottled and fountain sodas
-
Water
-
Mixers
-
Glasses of juice and squash
Deluxe Package (£60.50 per day)
The top-tier option, perfect for those who want the widest choice across the bars and restaurants onboard.
What’s included (everything in Classic, plus):
-
An extended range of cocktails
-
Premium 50ml spirits
-
Craft beers
-
Larger pours of wine (250ml)
-
A wider wine selection
This package is the closest you’ll get to “all-inclusive” cruising with P&O.
Discontinued: The Hot Drinks Package
For a time, P&O also offered a dedicated Hot Drinks Package at £10.95 per person, per day. It included small Costa coffees, hot chocolate, and teapigs teas. However, this has now been discontinued.
If your daily cappuccino or herbal tea is essential, you’ll need to factor in the Classic or Deluxe packages, as the Alcohol-Free package won’t cover it.
Which package is best for you?
-
Go Alcohol-Free if you just want soft drinks and bottled water throughout the day.
-
Choose Classic if you drink moderately and are happy with standard spirits, wines, beers, and coffee options.
-
Opt for Deluxe if you prefer premium spirits, craft beers, or like having the widest possible choice.
